Welcome to divuz.eu!
My name is Alexandra, I have created a couple of websites and blogs. And along the way I have tried many different widgets and applications, some better than others. I will tell you which ones I prefer, why I prefer them and where you can find them. I hope this will be helpful to you in some way.

AddThis   Like button   RSS feed
Bookmark and Share
Simple and easy tool that allows you to share and bookmark the website or page you are visiting. I like it because it takes minimal space, is easy to use, and it is possible to share in a large number of communities. The best part is that you only need to use ONE code on every page.

Get AddThis at: addthis.com
A fun and popular widget that gives an opportunity for the visitor to show his/hers appreciation in a simple way.

I have tried many different feeds. The best one, and the one I use today is rss.icerocket.com.

I like it because I have control over what I want my feed to show. And it does not pick up your updates automatically. Instead I add an update with link and description manually. Easy and free!

If you press the button above you can see my feed from ropcorn.com

Cbox   Like box   Networked Blogs

A free and easy comment box that allows your visitors to drop a message without hassle. The free version has a limit of 200 characters, but you still have many options when it comes to layout and functions.

Create your own Cbox at: cbox.ws
If you have an official Facebook Page/Fan page for your blog/website then I recommend using this widget to promote it.

It is also practical to have it on your blog because the visitor never has to leave your site to join. Just a simple click on the like button and you have yourself a new member.

This is my like box for my personal blog ropcorn.com As you see I can promote it everywhere, and if you want to join simply press like :-)

You can find it here: developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box?

I prefer to use this application and widget when it comes to having a follow option on my blog. The reason is simply because you automatically end up in a directory connected to Facebook, because it is where this application has its main location. And the more followers you get, the higher you climb in the categories in the directory. When you are in the top 50, you have a good chance of getting visitors from the directory.

You can chose three categories, one of my categories for ropcorn.com is "dogs". I have now managed to get into the top 50 in that category, which results in visitors from time to time.

If you want to follow my blog, simply click the follow button above.

To register your blog go to:

EmailMeForm   Twitter widget   BitPixels
Thank God for this free service! You can create all sorts of forms here, for free. They do have a limit of 5 free forms, but I manage with that.

It is so easy to create a form! You can chose layout, change whatever you want in your form layout, and the best part - you don't have to know anything about php! When you are done you just copy and paste the code into your own code. Piece of cake!

I have an example of a simple form above. It works, so if you want to send me a comment feel free to do so.

Create your own forms here: emailmeform.com

And finally a widget that allows you to display an image of other websites by simply copying their url into the BitPixel code.

I prefer this one because it updates a websites changes quickly. And if you have a Google account, you can sign in with that, so you don't need to register a new account with them.

I recently discovered this widget so I have not used it yet. But I think it is a cool way to announce that you have a Twitter account. It's also a fun way to allow other Twitter users to promote themselves on your site.
